My paintings are inspired by the raw, untamed beauty of the Nordic regions—particularly Greenland and the other Nordic countries. These landscapes, shaped by ice, wind, and light, offer a powerful source of visual and emotional inspiration. I translate these impressions into modern interpretations of the Nordic landscape, where nature becomes both subject and storyteller.

Using a unique watercolor technique adapted to acrylic on canvas, I work with layers of color and transparency to create depth and atmosphere. Although traditionally associated with paper, my watercolor-like approach with acrylics allows for both spontaneity and control—resulting in vibrant, expressive compositions that capture the shifting moods of the northern environment. The fluidity of the technique mirrors the natural elements I portray: melting glaciers, flowing fjords, and sweeping skies.

Bold colors play a central role in my work. I do not aim to replicate nature realistically, but rather to express its essence and emotional impact. Strong reds, deep blues, and glowing yellows often dominate my palette, creating an almost dreamlike version of the landscape that invites the viewer to explore further.
